This renowned and respected Canadian brand has recently added eight new designs to its range of high quality outdoor clothing, all of which are backed up by Stormtech’s three year warranty and are available via Pennline.
The Chakra fleece jacket is manufactured from 243 gsm high density polyester with a fleece lining and features Stormtech’s H2X dry moisture management system for optimum breathability. The Chakra fleece jacket has a full-length zip with an internal storm flap for added protection against the elements. The attractive block colour design is available in three eye-catching shades – azure blue, bright red and carbon – and in sizes ranging from small (36/36″ chest) to 2XL (48/50″).
The Sidewinder shell is a breathable performance stretch woven shell made from a 230 gsm polyester/spandex blend. The black jacket features attractive contrasting zips, including a chest pocket, and also has an attached, articulated hood. Colour options are black/azure, black/black and black/red. The range of available sizes is the same as the Chakra fleece, ie small to 2xl.
A jacket offering slightly more protection against the rain is the Orbiter softshell, made from 275 gsm polyester/spandex with Stormtech’s showerproof D/W/R (Durable Waterproof Repellent) coating. The jacket and its zippered pockets are both fleece-lined for added warmth, and like the Sidewinder, this black softshell features contrasting zip colours – azure blue, carbon grey or red.
Another showerproof shell, added to the range last month, is the Nautilus. This ultrasoft and lightweight (78gsm polyester) shell features a mesh lining and the D/W/R coating, and has a vented back yoke for additional ventilation and comfort. It has a stowable hood and the body of the jacket features discreet reflective inserts for improving visibility in low light condition. Six attractive colour options are available – blue, black, carbon, silver, navy and red – in sizes ranging from small to 2XL.
If more insulation against the cold is required, then the Equinox thermal shell could be the ideal choice. This premium quilt design jacket features thermal polyfill to insulate the wearer, and also has D/W/R outer coating to offer a level of shower resistance. It is available in black or dolphin grey.
Full waterproof performance is available from the Lighting shell, made from Stormtech’s H2X breathable fabric and featuring waterproof zippers and fully sealed seams. This ultra-lightweight shell has an attached, articulated hood and is available in four colour choices – azure blue, red, black and navy.
Combining full H2Xtreme waterproof and breathable outers with additional thermal protection against colder weather conditions, the Snowburst thermal shell offers the highest level of waterproofing within this new range of products. All seams are fully sealed and waterproof zippers (with optional contrasting colours) have been used in its manufacture. Despite its high performance, the Snowburst is an ultra-lightweight jacket and also features an articulated hood for when maximum protection is required. Three colour options are available – black/electric blue, black/black and black/red – and sizes small through to 2xl, in common with the rest of the range.
The final new addition is the Black Ice thermal jacket. Like the Snowburst shell, the Black Ice jacket features H2Xtreme technology for optimum waterproofing and breathability. The outer shell is made from an ultra lightweight 52gsm polyester and the polyfill-lined hood is detachable for convenience. Colour options consist of black/dolphin(grey), black/electric (blue) and black/red.
