PS59 – AirTech Bump Cap
Pennline mean business when it comes to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and offer a range of bump caps from two leading manufacturers that conform to BS EN 812:2012.
Beechfield supply two variants of their EN812 Bump Cap, the standard version (BC525) and the Enhanced-Viz design (BC535). Both are made from high quality 100% cotton twill with a polycarbonate inner shell, are fully adjustable and have removable covers for easy cleaning. Their five-panel design and short curved peak mean that they are both functional and stylish. To keep wearers comfortable in hotter conditions, these Beechfield bump caps feature 100% polyester Coolmax® fabric sweatbands and mesh eyelets.
The Enhanced-Viz bump cap is available in vibrant yellow or orange, for use in situations of reduced visibility and in combination with other high viz clothing items.
Our second supplier of bump caps is Portwest, whose range includes the PS59 AirTech Bump Cap and the PW59 Bump Cap. The AirTech Bump Cap has a mid-sized 5cm peak and is manufactured from 100% nylon. It features cooling mesh fabric for increased breathability, buckle size-adjustment and reflective piping for enhanced visibility. Protection is provided by an ABS plastic inner shell with a soft pad for shock absorption. This bump cap is available in navy blue or high-viz yellow.
The PW59 Portwest Bump Cap is manufactured from a 100% cotton outer with a padded ABS inner shell. It has a longer peak (7cm) than the AirTech model and is available in black, navy or royal blue. It has ventilation ports with metallic ring holes, adding a stylish look to this design, which is fully adjustable via a hook and loop strip at the rear.
All of these bumps caps can be printed or embroidered with your company name or logo, combining brand awareness with all-important safety of employees.
PLEASE NOTE – EN812 certified bump caps are only intended to protect the wearer from static, sharp or pointed objects such as ceilings. They are not intended to provide protection against falling objects – in these situations a fully certified industrial safety helmet must be specified.
