Over the past year or so we have noticed a steady increase in the number of workwear garments manufactured from high performance fabrics, that combine style and the latest colour options with a fabric designed to offer the wearer increased comfort and moisture management.
A great example of this is the range of Cool Checker polo shirts from Premier. The Cool Checker fabric is a state-of-the-art, machine washable fabric made from various weights of 100% polyester fabric that allows air to pass freely through the garment – for wearer comfort, fast drying and crease resistance- whilst drawing moisture away from the body.
The original Cool Checker Pique Polo is a short-sleeved shirt, in both men’s and ladies’ fittings, available in a staggering 24 colour options. It features a medium weight 155 gsm fabric, side panels for a more fitted shape, ribbed knit collar and three-button placket. Men’s sizes range from Small (24″) through to 5XL (56″), while the ladies’ version comes in size 8 (XS) to 18 (2XL). The men’s version is also available in a long sleeve design, in either blue or black.
The Contrast Tipped Cool Checker Polo is manufactured from the same 155 gsm material, but features eye-catching contrast trim on the collar, placket and sleeves. 12 colour combinations are available, including navy/white, red/black and black/turquoise.
The Cool Checker Studded Polo is manufactured from a slightly lighter weight 140 gsm fabric, with extra body length, and has a two-pop stud placket fastening. This unisex polo is available in in nine snappy shades and in sizes XS (30″) through to 3Xl (52″).
The latest addition to this high tech range, CoolPlus Polo Shirt takes the Cool Checker fabric to the next level, adding Silvadur antimicrobial properties that destroy the bacteria that can cause odour, material degradation and discolouration. This is thanks to the inclusion of silver ions in the fabric, which are naturally anti-bacterial. This latest polo shirt is manufactured from 185 gsm double pique knit fabric and, like the other shirts in the range, features side panels for a semi-fitted styling. The ribbed knit collar and cuffs, together with the three-button self-coloured placket, complete the look. A choice of 16 great colours is available in sizes S/34″ to 6XL/58″ for the men’s version and XS/8 through to 4XL/22 in the ladies’ version.
