We are all becoming increasingly aware of the need to reduce our impact on the environment, and the corporate workwear and promotional merchandise industry is proud to play its part in this initiative.
Pennline is the East Midlands’ leading supplier of workwear, PPE and promotional items, and can supply a range of items that are made from partially or wholly recycled materials, the use of which reduces the extraction and consumption of the world’s resources and also reduces the amount of waste material sent to landfill or incineration.
A great example of this new wave of environmentally responsible products is Craghoppers’ range of “Expert” fleeces, which are manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. Craghoppers have been increasing the number of “eco” products in their range over the past 18 months or so, and for 2017 they announced that all Expert fleeces would be manufactured from 100% recycled polyester, without compromising the quality and high performance of these versatile garments.
On average, eight recycled plastic bottles go into making each Expert fleece. In 2016, Craghoppers used six million recycled bottles, a figure that they expect to increase significantly this year.
The Expert range from Craghopppers includes half-zip and full-length zip variants of fleeces of various weights and colours with styles suitable for both men and women.
