Pennline is the East Midlands’ leading supplier of PPE and industrial workwear, supplying a wide range of fully EN397-certified safety helmets (explained in last week’s blog).
The basic PW57 Hi-Vis PP Helmet is made from yellow or orange polypropylene. The four-point plastic harness, adjustable from 52-62cm, ensures a comfortable fit, as does a foam-backed polyester sweatband.
The PW51 Endurance Plus Safety helmet is made from rigid ABS and is available in four colours- blue, red, white and yellow. The four-point nylon webbing harness is adjustable from 52-62cm and also includes a soft, foam sweatband. The PW51 features an extended peak to minimise glare and is compatible with clip-on ear protectors.
The PW55 Endurance Visor Helmet is made from ABS and features a retractable polycarbonate visor (which conform to EN166). This premium helmet has a six-point suspension system with self-sizing ratchet wheel, adjustable from 56-63 cm. Absorbent crown and brow pads ensure wearer comfort in warmer conditions. Like the PW51, the PW55 is available in red, yellow, blue and white.
A variant of the PW55 is the PW54 Endurance Plus MM Helmet. This helmet also features an En166-certified polycarbonate visor and can protect the wearer against molten metal, hence the “MM” in the name. It also features a six-point self-sizing ratchet suspension system for optimum wearer.
As mentioned last week, plastics degrade over time, and a helmet is likely to suffer wear and tear via regular use, so the EN397 standard requires helmets to be changed every five years.
Finally, hard hats offer an excellent opportunity for personalisation and branding – they can be printed with company name or logo, or even the corporate safety slogan. Pennline offer in-house design and printing capability and can advise on the most suitable solution for your organisation.
