We last wrote about Muck Boots over three years ago, but we thought these fabulous boots were worthy of another blog, since they are a firm favourite of ours here at Pennline, since they combine excellent quality levels with superior comfort and cold weather performance.
In addition to their wide range of traditional “wellie” type boots, aimed predominately at leisure use, Muck Boots also offer work boot designs suitable for more rigorous working environments, where certified levels of foot protection are required.
The Humber Classic Work Boot is a mid-length design featuring a steel toe-cap and anti penetration midsole, a combination that means they are certified to EN 20345 SB-P standard for safety footwear applications. They are also certified to SRA anti-slip standards (tested on a ceramic tiled floor wetted with dilute soap solution). They are manufactured from waterproof, high quality, lightweight and flexible rubber with reinforced scuff resistant areas on the toe and heel.
The Humber Classic Work Boot is available in black and moss, in unisex sizes 39-48.
The Workmaster Pro Anti-Static Work Boot (pictured) is a full-length waterproof rubber boots with breathable Airmesh lining. Like the Humber boot, the Workmaster Pro features a protective steel toe cap and puncture resistant midsole. These versatile boots are certified to EN20345 S5 (waterproof, steel toe and midsole penetration resistance) and their durable Vibram outsole features the higher “SRC” anti-slip properties (soapy ceramic floor plus glycerol on a steel floor).
Sizes available range from 39/40 up to 49, and a mid-length version is also available.
Both boot designs are suitable for use in a wide range of temperatures with a recommended comfort range from sub-zero up to 18ºC.
