Last summer we published a blog introducing a new range of socially-responsible, eco-friendly corporate clothing from leading manufacturer AWDis.

At the time, the range consisted of a variety of styles-including T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies – made from a blend of regenerated cotton and polyester.  The cotton used in these garments is pre-consumer offcuts, collected from the textile industry and thereby preventing it being sent to landfill or incineration.

There is clearly a growing interest within the corporate workwear market for more environmentally-friendly products, as suppliers and end-users implement increasingly strict corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies.

So, here at Pennline, we were excited to see several new additions to the écologie range this year.  A number of the garments are made from 100% cotton, rather than the poly-cotton blend of the existing designs in the range.  However, in keeping with the brand’s strong eco credentials, all such garments are made from 100% organic cotton.  An example of these 2019 additions includes the EA021 Erawan Organic Long Sleeve Tee, a unisex design in either Artic White or Jet Black, available in sizes XS-XXL.

Another example of a 100% organic cotton garment, which is certain to be very popular in the workwear market, is the EZ011 Etosha Organic Polo Shirt.  This two-button polo is available in Artic White, Jet Black or Navy, in sizes XS -XXL.

The écologie Organics range also includes the Cascades men’s and ladies T-shirts and the Corcovado Hoody.

Another innovative addition to the écologie range for 2019 uses a blend of the regenerated cotton, mentioned above, combined with 30% recycled polyester which is derived from collected plastic bottles.  The EA062 Taroko Re-Gen Sweater is the first garment in the Écologie range to utilise this novel eco-fabric.  The Taroko is a unisex design and is available in black or navy and in sizes XS-XXL.

In the future, AWDis intends to use the blend of regenerated cotton and recycled polyester in an increasing number of products in their range, a range that combines quality, style and conscience in one great package.
