Renowned workwear suppliers Portwest offer a wide range of high quality workwear clothing made from the innovative ModaFlame fabric. Garments manufactured from this material offer inherent flame resistance thanks to the inclusion of modacrylic fibres, which also impart excellent dimensional stability and elastic properties. The high cotton content gives a softer feel and a high level of comfort. Thanks to the flame-resistant properties being inherent to the ModaFlame fabric, rather than being added artificially via a chemical treatment, these garments remain flame resistant throughout their lifetime, and the property does not diminish with washing. In addition, ModaFlame garments benefit from having carbon fibre woven into the fabric, which results in anti-static properties, offering an additional level of protection for your team.
The ModaFlame range from Portwest includes jackets, trousers, coveralls, bib & brace, sweatshirts and long-sleeved polo shirts. Speaking of which, the list of relevant EN Standards applicable to this range are as long as your arm – we won’t list them all here, but if you have a particular requirement for your organisation please let us know and we will offer you the appropriate selection.
Newly added to the range this year is the Hi Vis Modaflame, available in either yellow/navy (code MV25) or orange/navy (MV35, approved to Rail Industry Standards). This high quality jacket features flame resistant reflective tape across the body, arms and shoulders, and provides protection against a number of hazards, including welding sparks, molten metal splashes and other heat sources. It has a concealed two-way brass zip and “hook and loop” adjustment on the cuffs for a secure fit. The outer surface of the jacket also features a Texpel stain resistant finish to repel dirt.
Matching Hi Vis ModaFlame trousers are available too, in either navy/yellow (MV26) or navy/orange (MV36). These hard-wearing trousers have triple-stitched seams and a number of handy pockets, including knee pad pockets.
The jacket and trousers are available in sizes small through to 3XL, and Pennline can arrange for printing or embroidery on the front, back or sleeves of the jackets, allowing them to be personalised with company logo or individuals’ names.
